Nothing new, we live a pretty busy life on the go as most of you can probably relate to. In our busy life we work hard to make healthy choices by exercising and eating right. Meal prep is key and finding ways to put together quick and tasty meals that are easy to tote and enjoy screams efficiency and the “Julie way”. When I prepare meals for my family I find ingredients with optimized health benefits.
One of my favorite additives is pomegranate seeds, the easiest way is to just pop them in a parfait or any of these recipes. Now, have you ever tried to get the seeds out of a pomegranate? Why pomegranate arils? Pomegranate is an antioxidant rich super fruit. Some say the vitamin C contained boosts your immune system, lowers cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, and improves blood circulation. I don’t know about you but I can use all the help I can get and love that the benefits are in a tasty little seed.
Here are step by step photos for meal prep for a great breakfast option on the go for the entire family. I use greek yogurt from preference but you can use any yogurt you choose, I then layer in the granola, and pomegranate seeds. Super delicious and healthy, a go to for my family once a week!
